Snohomish Garden Club 75th Anniversary Celebration
Seventy-five years of community service will be celebrated when the Snohomish Garden Club observes its diamond anniversary at its March general meeting. The Club was established with the election of the first officers on March 25, 1935. The meeting will open with comments by local dignitaries and acknowledgment of past presidents and contributors, followed by a talk by local gardening expert and personality Ciscoe Morris. The event also will include a birthday cake social and a video highlighting past Garden Club activities. The subject of Ciscoe?s talk will be "Design Ideas to Enhance the Appearance of Your Garden." Ciscoe is well known in the Puget Sound area, with regularly scheduled programs on KING5 TV, Northwest Cable News and News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM. He has published several popular garden books and writes a weekly garden column in the Thursday edition of the Seattle Times.
